Quick Painting Tips!

if you could cut the time it takes to paint out a house in half how much would that save you?

The answer: a ton!

Paint isn't cheap (unless you have my paint prices)

Labor to get paintwork done is even more expensive.

So here is how to cut paint labor in half.

18" Paint Rollers

There are a number of advantages to using an 18” roller; the obvious one is that an 18” roller applies paint a lot faster than a 9” roller. Large projects that have a lot of square footage to be coated benefit the most from this tool, an 18” roller provide and incredible improvement in production rates when employed on these projects. It holds more paint, has a larger surface area, and thus covers a greater distance, and spreads paint faster than a traditional 9” roller.

Cut In Tools

The Accubrush edge-painting tool is one of the best we’ve tried. It makes cutting-in quick and easy. With just a little practice, you can paint perfectly straight lines along ceilings and moldings. You’ll still have to finish some areas with a brush, though, since the tool can’t paint right up to adjacent edges. Connect a pole to the ceiling-edging tool and you can paint along the ceiling without even getting on a ladder.

What Sheens to Use In Different Rooms:

The gloss level of paint can have a significant impact on both appearance and serviceability. Increasing gloss improves the durability of paints – including scrub-, stain- and moisture-resistance. However, higher gloss levels tend to highlight defects and imperfections on a surface.
